Wish Upon a Wedding
Wish Upon a Wedding was founded in San Francisco in January of this year. It is America’s only wedding wish granting organization. On Valentine’s Day of this year, Wish Upon a Wedding began accepting applications to grant weddings and civil union ceremonies for adults with terminal illnesses, at destinations across the United States. Wish Upon a Wedding relies on volunteers to donate their time and services to couples who wish to fulfill their dreams. There are many ways to become involved and to assist in making a dream come true. Three levels of wishes are granted based on the needs of the couple. Please help spread the word about this worthwhile cause.
Urgent Wish: This type of wish is often urgent in nature and involves an individual or couple too sick to leave their bed, whether in home care, hospice care, or hospital care. The Wish Recipient has been diagnosed as having eight weeks or less to live.
Boutique Wish: This type of wish is for wish recipients looking for an intimate event that have been given 2-4 months to live. This wish cannot be a destination wish, as it is done within 100 miles of the current residence of the Wish Recipient.
Romantic Wish: This type of wish may not be urgent in nature, but one of the Wish Recipients has been given a terminal prognosis of less than 1 year to live. This wish can be a destination wedding if determined acceptable by Wish Upon a Wedding board and the Wish Recipient’s physician{s}.

This is such an astounding organization but so so sad. I wish for LOVE and HEALTH all day, everyday for everyone!!
