Katie and Bragi’s natural, down-to-earth wedding was inspired by Bragi’s romantic proposal of marriage. On the last day of their ski vacation in 2008, Bragi proposed to Katie on the mountain slopes. Katie took two tiny pine cones as mementos of this magical experience. Along with the pine cones, other elements and feelings taken from the proposal were woven into the theme of their wedding day. From the design of the cake to the natural hues of greens, browns and whites incorporated in the decor, loosely-styled candle and flower arrangements, a pine cone motif on the invitations and ski slope names to identify tables, their day was a true reflection of the moment they shared on the slopes.
