This shoot was generated from a love of creative collaboration, mind-blowing rock ’n roll and
non-conformist wedding celebration. We {Rebecca and Mia of Red Letter Days} wondered what would happen if talented vendors and adorable friends met up with 80s/90s music inspiration and some hot pink and yellow, at the Omni San Diego one day.
What exploded was a five-hour shoot that was filled with off-beat glamour, belly-aching laughter and a new appreciation for why weddings are so cool!
Suzanne Hansen and Mike Ofeldt of SheWanders Photography began the day by shooting
our bride and groom, Morgan and Joe (a.k.a. Stephanie and Axl), as if they were in the midst
of their post-ceremony photography. San Diego’s El Camino provided the ideal backdrop for
the couple as they made their way to their reception at Omni San Diego (in a pink Cadillac, of
course).
Morgan and Joe were greeted by their guests at a full metal reception atop the Omni complete with a slashing and gushing table scape of dahlias, metal and candles created by Organic Elements. Place settings were
adorned with custom silver drum sticks dipped in hot pink glitter and personalized with drink
flags.
Believers in the mantra Long Live Rock, Morgan and Joe hosted an after party in their suite
but when it was time to call it a night, it was time to call it a night.

I love love love the rock and roll theme! It is different and fun! I like unique weddings and this fits that criteria!!

Retro AND glamourous! Love the way you guys take advantage of the sun… I can almost feel the warmth in those outdoor photos!
