A few years ago, a card arrived in the mailbox of Simply Posh Design’s owner amongst the usual bills and direct mail pieces. It wasn’t her birthday. No special milestones had occurred. Baffled, she opened the card and discovered the handwriting of her close friend living on the other side of the country. The card began with the following “I realized the other day that I haven’t actually WRITTEN a note in years…” The note was followed by sentiments of their friendship shared and closing with her original signature. This note remains safely tucked away in Jennifer’s own version of a treasure box and served as the inspiration needed to help the personal note make it’s comeback!
In this world of emails, text messages and cell phones, communicating with the people we care about has never been easier. Unfortunately, the thought behind the personal note seems to have been lost somewhere along the way.
