Dress of the Day: Martina Liana ’280′

Intricate beading on the Martina Liana‘s ‘280‘ adds a dash of drama to the sweet heart neckline. However, it is the billowing chiffon train that captures your attention!

Resonating with 50s-inspired style. Michelle Roth‘s ‘Maya‘ charms us with her polka dotted full skirt brimming with layers of delicate organza.

Embroidered silver flowers draped over tulle on Claire Pettibone‘s ‘Orange Blossom‘ are stunning on their own, but the back of this gown is mesmerizing. An illusion tule back with the same gorgeous embroidered floral detail lead gracefully to delicate cap sleeves.

Sweetness exudes from Lazaro’s ‘3004‘ soft alencon appliqued lace skirt and sparkle net underlay featuring a sweetheart neckline that shimmers with a fresh water pearl brooch attached to the ribbon at the natural waist. It’s everything nice!

Layers of organza and tulle create an appealing softness on Lea-Ann Belter‘s Alina. A delicate satin band adhered to the empire waist at the front and back is truly the epitome of femininity.

Melissa Sweet‘s ‘Leighton‘ is sculpted elegance on the bodice with free-flowing beauty on the skirt. A bow tied off at the waist adorned with Swarovski crystals makes it a perfect package!

Last Thursday, Concepts Event Design in San Diego had a fabulous open house celebrating the expansion of their studio. As I walked into their beautiful space, I was met by the mesmerizing ‘Ballet Noir’ by Elizabeth Fillmore. Michele of M Bride Salon brought this one, along with a myriad of stunning styles from her shop. I have been dreaming about this strapless silk poult peplum gown with a black taffeta draped belt and rose hip corsage ever since!

Douglas Hannant‘s 2010 Spring Collection features several stunning stark white gowns, like the one shown above, while the 2010 Fall Collection shimmers with the subtlety of champagne and ivory hues. Simpleness in this gown’s sleek silhouette is contrasted by the feathered accent at the waist along a slight peek of calf at the hem. Douglas Hannant’s gorgeous gowns will be showcased at Sak Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills this weekend.

‘Salma‘s’ beauty is derived from its elegant simplicity. The satin ball gown from David Tutera by Faviana is detailed with silver embroidery and beadwork on the v-neck bodice. The inverted pleats on the full skirt uniquely shape this lovely gown.

Chantilly lace and a pretty face coupled with a silk charmeuse bodice and deep plunging halter neckline gracefully melds into a deep flowing train in Simone Carvalli‘s ’7105.’ This is the kind of dress that makes the world go round!
